Acceptable use

Our products are not a place for crime

Eagle Pen Global Enterprise builds writing, publishing and church tools. They exist to help people learn, worship, publish and run their work honestly. They are not to be used to plan, commit, hide or scale a crime.

1. What is not allowed

You may not use any Eagle Pen Global Enterprise product — including the Eagle Online Study Centre, the church devotionals, the client offices, the school and clinic tools, or any form or chat on this website — to do any of the following:

2. What is welcome

Learning and defence are welcome, and stay welcome. Teaching, sermons, research, awareness training, secure coding, patching, incident response, account recovery through the proper channel, authorised testing inside a lab or an agreed scope, and honest questions about how attacks work so that people can recognise them — all of this is allowed and will be answered.

3. How we decide

Every product is guarded by the Azama Cybercrime Police Dog. It looks at the whole request: who the target is, what is being asked, how detailed the instructions would be, whether the person wants to hide the trail, and how large the harm would be. It is not a keyword filter, and it is not perfect. A request about hacking is not refused because the word appears; it is refused when the request would actually help someone cause harm.

4. What happens when a request is refused

You receive one short line, and nothing more. We do not explain how the check works, because that would teach people how to get around it. The refusal is recorded, and the owner of the business is told immediately.

5. What we keep, and for how long

The words that triggered a refusal are kept for 90 days and then deleted. A short case record — which product, the date, the kind of request, the decision taken — is kept for 365 days, so that a repeat case or an appeal can be seen fairly. We do not keep passwords, codes, keys, card numbers or identity numbers; those are stripped out before anything is stored.

6. Reporting and the law

We do not report a person to any authority on the strength of an automatic check alone. Where a matter appears serious — a credible threat to a person, child sexual abuse material, or a fraud in progress — the owner reviews it and decides, with advice where advice is needed, whether the law requires a report. Child sexual abuse material is refused on sight, and the account is frozen while the owner decides.

7. If you were refused wrongly

Write to [email protected] with the sentence you sent and what you were trying to do. A person reads every appeal and answers within seven days. If the refusal was a mistake, we correct the check itself, so the same honest request is not refused again.
